Dfcu Bank is a fast-growing Bank in Uganda offering a wide range of financial solutions to its chosen market segments. We are seeking to recruit for the position of Manager-Cash Management Operations to support our expansion strategy.
Reporting To: Head of Central Operations

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Head of Central Operations, the role holder will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing processing of domestic and international payments and collections in compliance with operating guidelines.
Location: Kampala

Key Accountabilities:
• Drive process improvement by identifying process gaps and implementing system enhancements for all areas in the unit.
• Proactively research new payment methods and solutions with a view of achieving more streamlined process and/or improved customer experience.
• Daily review of the reconcilable accounts and investigate and clear any outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Maintain good intra & interdepartmental communications by working closely with the other units and external parties.
• Verify and approve payments and receipts / remittances for operational and client transactions as per the set limit timely, accurately within daily cut off times and deadlines.
• Review service reports for the processing and clearing unit to detect service failures and enforce corrective measures.
• Prepare and submit reports to the Head of Central Operations on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed timescales.
• Charged with the responsibility of reporting suspicious activity in line with the AML/CFT, KYC programs in line with the bank policies / regulatory framework.
• Investigate and clear queries in a timely manner, provide update and escalations of queries internally and externally, keeping stakeholders informed of any issues or difficulties.
• Introduce & maintain service standards that are measurable.
• Manage, motivate, and develop staff and foster a team approach by actively building strong working relationships within the unit as well as identification of training needs.

Qualifications, Experience And Competencies Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Commerce, Accounting or Business Statistics or another field.
• Diploma in Banking is an added advantage.
• Training in various areas of Operations: – i.e., Fraud Prevention, KYC, CFT & AML, Operation Risk control & Compliance.
• At least 5 years working experience in Banking Operations.
• Cognate experience in Banking operations, process Improvement as well as Operational risk.
• Thorough understanding of Bank procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Good Knowledge and Experience in examining and re-engineering processes and implementing new processes and procedures.
• Ability to supervise, train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

• Knowledge and understanding of the back-office operation, procedures, and processes.

Dfcu Bank is a fast-growing Bank in Uganda offering a wide range of financial solutions to its chosen market segments. We are seeking to recruit for the position of Manager-Ecosystems to support our expansion strategy.
Reporting To: Head- Transaction Banking and Specialised Finance

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Head- Transactional Banking and Specialised Finance, the role holder will be responsible for growing the Bank’s ecosystem from key Corporate Anchor client relationships, working closely with relationship managers, Personal & Business Banking (PBB) and Transaction Banking Managers to grow TB balance sheet and revenue. This role will handle large and complex transactions involving transactional banking products and contribute to the development of the Transaction Banking Strategic plan.
LOCATION: Kampala

Key Accountabilities:
• Provide leadership for Banking and growing the ecosystem for key Anchor Client relationships to deliver cash management and trade services implementations, by following established processes.
• Establish collaboration and regular engagement between Corporate Banking & Personal & Business Banking (PBB) in ring fencing collections and payments within dfcu
• Actively update and monitor the deal pipeline for growth. Enable business to measure impact and value derived from the revenue.
• Ensure regular communication updates for ecosystem implementations with internal partners and clients (utilizing meeting minutes, Action plans).
• Maintain adequate pricing of Trade and Cash Management products on a revenue/expense basis and ensure full collection of fees and commissions, whilst growing this revenue line for Revenue maximization.
• Identify areas of improvement for existing products and processes and make recommendations.
• Develop and continually expand the target market of Trade and Cash Management products, provide Training and coaching and work actively with Relationship managers, Treasury, IT & operational personal and Business Banking.
• Single point of contact for the client during the implementation phase of ecosystem sales mandates.

Qualifications, Experience And Competencies Required:
• A Bachelor’s Degree with Bias in Business studies.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Banking.
• Good knowledge in Trade and cash management.
• Strong Relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of Bank systems and Products are an advantage.
• Good knowledge of trade, supply chain, and cash management products.
