OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
• To ensure the highest level of integrity of data in our software management system is entry by all teams.
• To monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and application problems and ensure optimum performance of all ICT devices throughout LifeLink Medical Group.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or in related field.
• Knowledge and Experience in digital records management.
• Experience in database management.
• Experience in website management.
• At least 2 years of work experience of which 1 year in providing IT Support
• Experience in installing, configuring, and managing both wired and wireless LAN, and firewalls.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND INFORMATION SECURITY

• Support the roll out and implementation of new solutions or applications (Support users in the usage of the Hospital Information Management System)
• Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with system usability issues.
• Ensure that the medical records are accurately captured, organized and complete in the Hospital (HIMS) system
• Ensure data backups are done as scheduled and backup copies are safely stored.
• Daily review of medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy of the information.
• Ensure that all information systems are accessible 24/7 both locally and remotely.
• Ensure that the hospital website is up-to-date, and website content is reviewed regularly.
• Ensure reports are generated and shared as required.
• Protect hospital data and ensure that all staff and visitors follow the recommendations to access hospital data.
• Implement and monitor compliance of staff to the hospital HIMS policies
• Train staff on data access and security policies and act in case of any form of non-compliance.
• Regularly review database management system security to identify and implement developments that will improve data security.


COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND NETWORKS

• Install and configure software and computer systems and other peripheral hardware including printers, projectors, scanners etc.
• Ensure 24/7 availability of stable Internet and Local Network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose, and solve hardware/software faults.

IT SUPPORT AND ADMINISTRATION
• Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting across the company (this may be in person or remotely)
• Train staff in basic IT skills e.g., use of new software, troubleshooting.
• Test, evaluate, and advise on the new technology for the company.
• Maintain up updated documentation of software applications, hardware, and other ICT equipment.
• Liaise with external IT support suppliers to resolve issues as required.

Job Summary:
The IT & Systems Officer manages the IT infrastructure (Servers and Network Support), client systems (desktops, Printers, laptops and phones), and end-user support at the Jhpiego Uganda offices. The nature of the work requires an individual who is service-oriented, organized, and can interact with diverse end-users and technical staff, prioritize tasks, and resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities
Network & Server administration

• Provide support on LAN/WLAN/WAN/VPN telephone or VolP
• Troubleshoot system and network failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure the long-term efficiency of the network Test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral end-user devices
• Organize and schedule upgrades and systems maintenance Manage Project data Backup and IT disaster recovery plans Provide technical support to the project team on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions Setup, configuration, monitoring and management of server hardware, server applications, UPSes and other power backup systems
• Perform diagnostics and management, and support of the Server infrastructure, Intranet and other Servers
• Management of the print servers and All-in-One Copiers. Manage and Escalate issues with network equipment, including switches, wireless access points and firewalls.

User and Cilent System Support
• Provide user support (diagnose and resolve basic Hardware and Software faults).
• Troubleshoot user computer software and hardware issues and make repairs and perform scheduled updates
• Manage the Help Desk system to ensure IT Support SLAs are met.
• Join end-user Computers to the Azure Active Directory domain. Ensure security updates on end-user equipment are maintained. Maintain computer hardware parts and replacements. Manage IT equipment inventory
• Maintain system and configuration change documentation

Compliance
• Ensure user Compliance with IT policies and guidelines. Follow Jhpiego IT Service Management processes.
• Participate in IT Scheduled projects and Scheduled activities. Maintain system and configuration change documentation. Prepare, document, and communicate system status reports with the Baltimore ISTS team

User Training

• Identification of standard desktop and application support issues and provision of training for staff as required.
• Provide support, end-user Training and Configuration on M365 and other cloud collaboration Technologies
• Maintenance of IT User Guide.

Administration
• Maintain IT hardware and software asset inventory.
• Management of loaner equipment pool.

Other
• Other duties as necessary and as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Information Systems or equivalent field, knowledge and skills
• CompTIA A+ Certification.
• CompTIA Network+ or CCNA Certification.
• ITIL Foundation

Experience/Skills/Knowledge
Required Qualifications

• Five 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
• Extensive experience with desktop and laptop hardware from major vendors.
• Extensive experience supporting desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Extensive experience using and supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other typical desktop applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
• Highly developed troubleshooting skills and processes.
• Ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience. Ability to exercise independent judgment in determining
• and implementing improvements/solutions for computer hardware.
• Ability to work in a team and foster teamwork in others.
• Able to carry loads of 50 pounds, including servers, printers and computers for physical setup.
• Understanding of the importance of documenting system configuration information.
• A wide variety of IT and support management skills, including discriminating between incidents and problems and knowing when a quick fix is insufficient to resolve an issue permanently. Ability to identify and categorize relevant information about changes in configuration for recording purposes.

Pride is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to fill the position an IT Applications Administrator.
The job holder will report to the manager business systems and his/her main duty will be to design, implement, and maintain all Pride's IT applications in line with policies and operating procedures, departmental plans, risk and regulatory frameworks.

Specific responsibilities include:

1. Maintain all IT application services including but not limited to Core Banking Systems, Internet Banking, Treasury, LOS, AML.
2. Test, install, upgrade and monitor all IT applications across the Pride's network in line with departmental plans.
3. Diagnose, fix and report system errors through logical execution and complex troubleshooting methods.
4. Monitor utility and warranty for all Pride's IT application services in line with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
5. Maintain and monitor disaster recovery and business continuity of all IT application services in line with the risk and regulatory frameworks.
6. Regularly analyze customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
7. Develop, document and improve the various processes and procedures for the systems under the function in line with business goals and priorities.
8. Develop mechanisms for the resolution of all IT application service requests in line with service level agreements.


Minimum Academic Qualifications and Experience:
• BSc (Honors) Information Technology, computer science, Software/computer engineering.
• ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management or any other relevant field from a recognized Institution.
• Experience in delivery of channels (ATMS, Mobile and internet banking) is an added advantage.
