To support our continued growth and digital transformation initiatives, we are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Business Analyst to join our team.
Position Summary
The Business Analyst will support management decision-making by analyzing business performance, financial data, operational processes, and market trends. The role will work closely with the Finance Manager and other departments to identify performance gaps, generate insights, and support strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, productivity, and portfolio growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Performance Analysis
- Analyze branch, product, and portfolio performance against budgets and targets.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management.
- Monitor key KPIs including disbursements, portfolio growth, PAR, productivity, and cost ratios.
Financial & Operational Analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Analyze operational efficiency and recommend process improvements.
- Develop dashboards and management reports to track financial and operational performance.
Data & Reporting
- Extract, analyze, and interpret data from core banking and internal systems.
- Generate business intelligence reports for senior management.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across operational reports.
Strategic Support
- Support business planning and product performance reviews.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide analytical support for new product development and digital initiatives.
Process Improvement
- Review internal processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support implementation of automation and digital reporting tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or progress toward completion will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or performance management, preferably in banking, microfinance, or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools.
- Experience working with core banking systems and large datasets is an added advantage.
