Windle International Uganda (WJU) is a registered International NGO whose primary mission is to promote peace and development in communities through provision and coordination of education and traini ng for refugees and people affected by conflict. Since 1996 wru is a leading provider of access to education for refugees in Uganda at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
In partnership with UNHCR, WIU Nakivale field office seeks to recruit suitable persons to fill the positions of Secondary School Head Teacher to work in Nakivale Refugee Settlement - Isingiro District.
Job title: Secondary School Head Teacher (O1)
Reports to: Education Project Officer

Duties and responsibilities
• Supervise and provide technical support to the teachers .
• Attend stakeholders' meetings and PTAIBOG meetings .
• Mobilization/sensitization of the community on Education
• Ensure that there is continuous assessment of the pupils
• Promote quality teaching and safe learning environment for pupils
• Coordinate with the District Education Office and Windle International Uganda Field Office
• Keep record and manage all the data of the schools
• Conduct regular meetings with teachers
• Participate in Child Safeguarding activities in the course of your teaching responsibilities as guided
• Carry out continuous assessment and evaluation of pupi I's performance
• Guide and counsel pupils
• Enforce discipline in the school under teacher's code of conduct and relevant policies .
• Responsible for the day to day administration of the school
• Perform any other task as may be assigned by the Education Project Officer

Qualifications
• Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Education (Masters or Post Graduate Diploma is an added advantage)
• Applicants must be registered with Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES)
• Applicants should be highly motivated individuals willing to work in a refugee settlement.
• Exhibit high level of professionalism and integrity .
• Should have held a position of leadership in a school for at least two years.

Description
ICPAU is the national professional accountancy body in Uganda, established by The Accountants Act in 1992, now the Accountants Act 2013. It has the legal mandate to regulate and maintain the Standard of Accountancy in Uganda; to prescribe and regulate the conduct of accountants and practicing accountants in Uganda; as well as conduct professional accountancy examinations in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities
a) Handles examinations-related administration.
b) Assists in coordinating examiners, moderators, markers and invigilators to ensure timely execution of their respective services.
c) Processes examinations results and maintains examinations records in the database.
d) Participates in the process of designing and reviewing the examinations’ syllabuses.
e) Assists in the development of the Institute’s student training materials.
f) Builds and manages relationships with the Institute’s stakeholders.
g) Assists in training of examiners, moderators, invigilators and staff.
h) Handles examinations stores, equipment and materials.
i) Carries out any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Examinations Officer.

Qualifications

a) University degree.
b) Certified Public Accountant.
c) A Qualification in Education is an added advantage.

1. At least three (3) years of relevant experience

JOB DETAILS:

Reports to: Director of Operations

Role: Provide assistance to the research and development manager to design, develop creative education conservation programs, projects, activities and work with the Education officer to carryout effective implementation of education conservation programs.

Duties
1. Create and innovate business model in line with conservation education and in line with the company’s natural conservation policy and consistent with its vision and mission
2. Assist R & D manager to create effective monitoring and evaluation tools for implemented education conservation programs.
3. Assist manager to design, develop implement and monitor intellectual property controls regarding innovations in conservation education
4. Work closely with R&D manager, education and community conservation manager to create, meaningful collaborations on local, regional and international platform that benefit promotion of company philosophy
5. Continually innovate from time-to-time new ideas for an information dissemination platform for education conservation that influence decision making in industry tools for social research regarding public perception’s company Education conservation projects.
6. Create and manage a secure data bank for projects created in Education conservation for information sharing among the team, shareholders and stakeholders.
7. Assist in designing, developing and implement damage control procedures regarding responsible tourism, projects, programs and activities among the public.
8. Influence policy on key levels i.e., government and industry regarding education conservation initiatives for the company.
9. Push for adoption of Education conservation ideologies within the industry actors

Qualifications
1. A minimum of a degree in your area of social work or Education.
2. Three years of working experience in field of wildlife and tourism.
3. Demonstrable research skills such as data analytics, statistics, or survey design.
4. Impeccable writing and organizational skills.
5. Team-working and communication skills.
