Job Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide professional security/ intelligence services aimed at protecting and preventing or at the very least, mitigate against theft, misuse, counterfeit, abuse and destruction of any company’s assets, property, products and information. This position leads the Security function within Hariss International Limited and provides direction to the outsourced security firms. The role requires good skills in identifying, minimizing and eliminating the security/ intelligence risks facing the business and our brands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To formulate and/ or improve security and Brand Protection-related policies/procedures for Hariss International Limited.
- To monitor implementation of set standards and processes to prevent, avoid or mitigate against breach of the Code of business conduct.
- To collect, collate and disseminate industrial, market and security intelligence reports to the management to enhance timely response to security threats.
- To investigate breaches/crimes/offences and other similar incidents that affect the company and to liaise with the police, legal representatives and Government authorities to bring them to their logical conclusion.
- To investigate and ensure the prosecution of persons/ entities involved in counterfeit/ smuggling or other such offences attaching to or affecting the brands.
- Implementation of company security policy, enforcement of standards, controls, processes and regulatory determined procedures for physical security.
- Collection and analysis of security intelligence and issuing security alerts as and when required.
- Managing the contracted security service provider through effective contract management.
- Prepare and present security briefings, analysis and reports to the Plant Manager and provide security advisor to the business.
- Develop and execute the annual departmental work plan and budget within approved limit.
- Manage and oversee the disposal of returns/waste
- Carry out monthly internal security audits to ensure strict compliance to standard operating procedures.
- Manage and oversee the security and CCTV personnel to ensure they deliver the department goals through effective performance management.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum education of bachelor’s degree.
- Diploma in Legal Practice and/ or Diploma certificate in conventional physical security and crime prevention is an added advantage.
- Courses in investigation, fraud awareness, brand assurance and crime prevention or intelligence training.
- 5 - 8 years’ working experience in the field of intelligence, security or brand assurance.
- Must have professional knowledge in multiple investigative techniques.
