Job Description
The Brand Officer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Yalelo’s brand image to ensure it remains consistent, relevant, and competitive in the market. The role focuses on translating business objectives into effective brand strategies, overseeing marketing campaigns, and ensuring all customer touchpoints reflect the brand’s identity and values.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Define and implement the brand’s positioning in the market
- Ensure all activities align with the brand’s identity, tone, and values
- Translate business goals into brand strategies
Campaign Development & Oversight
- Lead marketing campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital)
- Work with internal teams and agencies to execute campaigns
- Ensure messaging is consistent across all platforms
Brand Consistency & Governance
- Maintain brand guidelines (visuals, tone of voice, messaging)
- Review and approve marketing materials
- Ensure all departments represent the brand correctly
Market & Consumer Insights
- Analyze customer behavior, trends, and competitor activity
- Use insights to refine brand messaging and campaigns
- Conduct surveys, field visits, and research
Collaboration Across Teams
- Work closely with sales, product, and operations teams
- Align brand messaging with sales objectives
- Support internal teams with brand-related needs
Performance Tracking
- Monitor brand health (awareness, perception, loyalty)
- Track campaign performance and ROI
- Adjust strategies based on data and insights
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
Experience
2-3 years’ marketing experience with a bias in brand management
- Define and implement the brand’s positioning in the market
- Ensure all activities align with the brand’s identity, tone, and values
