Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead client acquisition, build strong client relationships, and lead the execution of our sales and growth strategy. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on meeting targets, managing a sales team, and unlocking new markets for our financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Sales Growth
- Identify, target, and onboard new clients across all Ababiri service lines.
- Design and implement strategies to grow market share and penetrate new sectors.
- Develop customized proposals for prospective clients in collaboration with technical teams.
- Client Relationship Management
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and urgency.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships through trust-based interactions.
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute quarterly and annual business development plans aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to position Ababiri competitively.
- Innovate approaches to reach new segments, especially SMEs, professionals, and large enterprises.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales and business development team.
- Set clear performance goals and provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Organize weekly team check-ins, lead sales huddles, and review KPIs.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports to the management team.
- Track pipeline metrics, client conversion rates, and ROI on marketing initiatives.
- Use CRM tools and Excel/BI dashboards to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Collaboration & Representation
- Work closely with operations, finance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Represent Ababiri Financial Services at industry events, client meetings, and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage).
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in business development, sales, or client relationship roles—preferably in financial services, professional services, or consulting.
- Proven experience in managing teams and driving B2B/B2C sales growth.
- Strong understanding of tax, accounting, investment, or business registration services is highly desirable.
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Results-driven with the ability to meet and exceed targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
