The EHS Supervisor oversees the implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
Responsibilities or duties
- EHS Program Implementation: Lead the implementation of EHS policies, programs, and procedures across the organization.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Incident Management: Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures.
- Training & Awareness: Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs to employees, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all EHS activities comply with relevant national and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, NEMA, etc.).
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conducting drills for fire, medical, and evacuation scenarios.
- EHS Monitoring: Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics (incident rates, safety inspections, compliance audits).
- Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor the EHS team and safety representatives.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit EHS reports to management and regulatory authorities as required.
