Roles and responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate and monitor data collection by enumerators (surveys);
• Undertake daily quality checks of survey data submitted by enumerators;
• Conduct semi-structured interviews (SSIs) with selected refugee and host community households in Koboko Municipality;
• Support the UAL project team to identify, schedule appointments and undertake Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) in Koboko Municipality;
• Provide regular field work reports and respond to feedback;
• Ensure all collected data (surveys and SSIs) is submitted in a timely manner.
Required profile:
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in any of the following fields: geography, public health, social sciences, environmental sciences, statistics, economic/physical planning or other relevant fields;
• 3-5 years of research experience with evidence of work in humanitarian, displacement and migration aspects;
• Ability to use KoboCollect and other relevant qualitative and quantitative data collection tools and management systems;
• Strong people management and teamwork skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Role specifications:
• Employment duration – 20 days
• Duty station – Koboko Municipality, Koboko District, Uganda
• Spoken languages – English, Kakwa and Swahili
• Number of Position(s) – 01
