We are seeking to recruit Secondary School Teachers (Biology and Chemistry) who will be responsible for imparting knowledge and skills to learners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom instruction accordance to Watoto education standards and ministry of Education and Sports.
- Evaluate teaching and learning by conducting monthly and termly assessments.
- Monitor subject and class academic performance of learners to ensure academic excellence.
- Create and maintain a safe, conducive and interactive learning environment for the learners.
- Recognize and celebrate outstanding learners in different aspects of school life.
- Demonstrate good stewardship of resources and property in the school community ensuring the safe custody and optimum use of equipment assigned.
- Motivate and engage learners in at least one vocational skill as well as ensure that learner's active participation in skilling activities is consistent.
- Monitor and report performance of learners in vocational skills.
- Assess and evaluate real life project presented by learners.
- Conduct effective leadership sessions with the learners in small groups.
- Lead one-on-one mentorship sessions and guidance by being present and available in the lives of learners.
- Conduct real life projects to provide real life learning experiences to learners.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience.
- The applicant for the role should hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in teaching.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. High degree of flexibility and initiative.
- Commitment to work within a team environment and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Pedagogical skills, creative and Innovative Skills.
- Knowledge of computer skills in word, excel and PowerPoint.
