Overview

GOVNET Services Limited is inviting applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals to fill the following positions within its fast-growing fintech operations in Uganda.

Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented Accountants to manage daily financial transactions, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and month-end accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and digital payment reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and NSSF.
• Support month-end closing activities and annual audits.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Part-qualified CPA (U) or ACCA (minimum Level II preferred).
• 2–4 years of practical accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
