Uganda Christian University (UCU) is hiring

Responsibilities or duties

1. Ensuring the safety of all university property under the designated hall of residence or area of jurisdiction.

2. Requisition for detergents and equipment needed to clean Halls and their surroundings.

3. To report all malfunctioning, damaged or missing equipment/items in the Halls to the relevant offices.

4. Uphold Health and safety measures in the Halls of residence assigned.

5. Register, allocate rooms and collect keys at the end of the semester and/ conferences from the residents in his Halls.

6. Supervise the outsourced cleaners assigned to work in Halls of residence to ensure cleanliness.

7. Oversee the students’ well-being and make necessary recommendations to either the Chaplain, Counsellor, Director Medical or necessary office as the need arises.

8. Ensure that the Halls’ rules and regulations are upheld by all residents.

9. Any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisors

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

1. A Bachelor’s Degree from Uganda Christian University

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Should be a committed and practicing Christian.

Experience needed

2. Should have graduated not more than five years ago

3. One (1) year’s working experience working with the youth in a recognized institution of higher learning will be an added advantage.

4. Experience being a student leader (Guild Official, Class Representative, Resident Assistant or Chapel Warden) will be an added advantage.

5. A training Certificate in Para Counselling Course will be an added advantage
