Role Summary: Associate, Public Sector Consulting
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support in the delivery of public sector consulting assignments. The Associate will be required to actively contribute to project execution, research, and preparation of reports and proposals, working under the supervision of senior colleagues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing consulting assignments related to PFM, governance, capacity development, MSE, and public sector reforms.
- Conduct research, data collection, analysis, and literature reviews to support technical project work.
- Draft sections of reports, presentations, and technical documents for internal and client use.
- Support the preparation of Expressions of Interest (EOIs), technical proposals, and concept notes for donor-funded projects.
- Participate in field activities, stakeholder engagements, and consultations as required.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of project materials, correspondence, and deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to meet internal quality standards and deadlines.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge in public sector financial management and consulting methodologies.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Progress towards a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in public sector consulting or advisory roles.
- Exposure to proposal development and preparation of project reports is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
