About the Role:
BAVI is looking for a skilled and committed instructor for the Certificate in Hotel and Institutional Catering (CHC) program. The successful applicant will deliver training that prepares students for rewarding careers in hospitality and food service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach and assess students according to the UVTAB Standards/Modulars
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and training resources.
- Conduct hands-on practical training in food preparation, catering, and customer service.
- Supervise students during practical sessions and internship placements.
- Monitor and record student progress and performance.
- Participate in curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
- Enforce hygiene and safety standards during training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Catering, or a related field.
- A teaching qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of two (2) years teaching or industry experience in food service or hospitality.
- Familiarity with the UVTAB Standards/Modulars is preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong culinary and food service skills.
- Excellent communication and teaching abilities.
- A passion for hospitality and customer care.
- Ability to mentor and inspire students.
- Professionalism and reliability.
