On behalf of our client SINOPEC, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Commissiong Electrical Specialist to work at site

Roles and Responsibilities
- Learn and master the CPY OPERCOMT system, implement electrical commissioning activities according to its requirements.
- Supporting System completion coordinator with electrical database population and task register.
- Test and validate electrical systems (e.g., power distribution, lighting, motors, control systems) to ensure they meet design specifications and operational requirements.
- Perform functional performance tests (FPTs) and operational test on equipment like switchgear, transformers, generators, and protective relays.
- Supervise and direct electrical technicians during electrical system commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), safety standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA), and environmental regulations.
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Prepare commissioning schedule, test procedures, electrical submissions to Company including handover dossiers, RFC & AOC certificates.
- Document deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and verify.
- Facilitate handover of systems from construction teams to commissioning teams.
- Diagnose and resolve instrument issues during commissioning, such as power quality problems, grounding faults, or control system malfunctions.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and the automation specialty.
- At least 5 years of experience in the industrial automation control industry, more than 3 years of commissioning experience.
- Proficient in Office Software, CAD, Navision (preference).
- Holders of Uganda’s ERA Class B certificate or above are preferred
- Fluently read, write and speak the English Language.
- Other Certifications will be a plus.
