GOVNET Services Limited is inviting applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals to fill the following positions within its fast-growing fintech operations in Uganda.
Head of Finance
Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and experienced Head of Finance to oversee financial operations, regulatory reporting, and compliance within our fintech business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements.
- Utilize financial systems such as NetSuite, Sage, and Power BI to automate reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Oversee statutory reporting to the Bank of Uganda in line with the National Payment Systems Act.
- Manage Uganda Revenue Authority tax filings and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate external audits and strengthen internal financial controls.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Fully certified CPA (U) or ACCA member.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting or finance experience.
- At least 3 years in a financial reporting or compliance leadership role.
- Experience within fintech, banking, telecommunications, or another regulated financial environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, auditing, compliance, and financial systems.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
