Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Staffing: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding.
  • Employee Relations: Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, and foster a collaborative workplace.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs, coordinate learning programs, and support employee growth.
  • Performance Management: Oversee goal-setting, reviews, and feedback to drive performance.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Support payroll and benefits administration in line with labor laws.
  • Policies & Compliance: Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws and company policies.
  • Engagement & Culture: Promote initiatives that build employee morale, motivation, and retention.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and reports.
  • Strategic Support: Work with the MD and leadership team to align HR with business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • At least 5+ years' experience in Human Resources with minimum 2 years in a Senior HR Officer role
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, Ugandan labor laws, and HR systems.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
