Background

Makerere University has received funding from the Governments of Uganda and South Korea to implement the Improvement of Makerere University Project. Makerere University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the various project staff positions.

Responsibilities

a) Manage project documentation, record-keeping, and/or filing system.

b) Support the timely replenishment of office sundries.

c) Participate in preparing project progress reports and work plans.

d) Establish clear systems for initiating all project office procurements and maintaining offices, assets, and equipment.

e) Maintain an inventory of all project assets and equipment.

f) Provide logistical support to the project staff.

g) Perform other related job tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

a) An honors bachelor’s degree in humanities from a recognized university

Requirement

b) An MBA or a master’s in management will be an added advantage.

Experience

At least five years of proven practical experience in project administration in a reputable organization or institution.

Competencies

a) Good Communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills;

b) Proficient in using relevant computer packages;

c) Teamwork and team building;

d) High integrity

e) Time Management

Other Details

Applicants must be Ugandans.

Applicants for all positions must not exceed 55 years of age at the time of application.

Academic qualifications must be from recognized academic institutions.

Makerere University is an equal opportunities employer.

Remuneration shall be competitive based on the project’s approved funding.

Terms of employment will be on a contract basis of 2 years.
