World Vision Uganda (WVU) informs the public that there will be disposal of used vehicles and motorcycles by public sealed bidding under the terms and conditions below.

Timelines

  • Viewing of assets: August 15th–28th, 2025 between 9:00 am - 4:00pm (Mon to Thursday) and 9am to 2pm on Friday.

NB: WV offices are closed on weekends and public holidays.

Address for viewing assets: Steel Works Limited Premises Warehouse No. 1, Plot 404 Kyobe Road, Dwanirogere, Off Inja Road.

  • Expression of interest and online submission of Bids: August 25th–29th 2025, 8:30am to 5:30pm

  • Bid Opening & Award: August 29th, 2025 (Subject to change without communication)

  • Notification of successful Bidders September 3rd, 2025 (Subject to change without communication)

Conditions

Bidders shall express their interest online via the link https://forms.gle/Beacon/n/48bJ0dPwQf. By paying a non-refundable fee of UGX 103,000 for Motor Vehicles and UGX 51,500 for Motorcycles and Three wheelers Generated to WVU through mobile money. All fees include charges; therefore, no additional charges will apply to any mobile money payment.

  • If a bidder submits bids for multiple items, the bid fee for each item must be paid separately.

  • For MTN the merchant code is BEYONIC

  • For Airtel the merchant code is 9789798

Steps to follow:
MTN

  1. Dial *165*

  2. Then go to number 4 for payment

  3. Then 4 for goods and services

  4. Enter the Merchant code: BEYONIC

  5. Then, enter the payment reference: World Vision , “Your company Name” or “Your Name”.

  6. Then the amount

  7. Password

Airtel

  1. Dial *185*

  2. Then go to number 4 for pay bills

  3. Then go to number 9 for others

  4. Then enter the business number 9789798

  5. Then enter the amount

  6. Then the payment reference: World Vision, “Your company Name” or “Your Name”

  7. Then password

  • Then share the mobile money reference ID for payment in which bid and keep a hard copy of your receipt for future reference.

  • Successful bidders shall be required to make payment as follows: 50% payment within 24 hours and full payment within 5 working days from the date of purchase.

  • WVU reserves the right to reallocate assets to another bidder if any bidder is declined or payment is delayed passed 5 working days.

  • Successful bidders will be expected to collect the items within 5 working days once full payment is made and WVU has legally released the items.

  • No price negotiation will be allowed.

  • Payment for items shall be made to the bank account provided by WVU.

  • WV encourages bidders to bid for more than one item.

  • Assets will be sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis, without warranties.

  • WVU accepts no liability “imposed or otherwise” for the condition of Asset.
