About the Role:
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Officer will play a critical role in generating revenue for the company within the assigned markets or channels in the Microinsurance sector. They will build and manage strong relationships and partnerships within the Microinsurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and carrying out consumer education within the assigned markets and channels.
- Generating and building revenue through effective daily sales management.
- Sourcing for new business and servicing existing clients.
- Capacity building of intermediaries in the market.
- Building and maintaining strategic alliances for business growth with intermediaries and industry stakeholders.
- Constantly updating clients on new and existing products.
- Liaising with the various departments to ensure timely service delivery to the clients.
- Collecting market intelligence and preparing reports.
- Generating quotation for client/intermediaries and preparing and delivering tender documents as required.
Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any Business-related field or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in the field.
- Diploma in Sales and Marketing (added advantage).
- Working experience in Insurance / Financial Services will be added advantage.
