The Fund for Global Human Rights seeks to engage a consultant or team of consultants to design and facilitate a practical fundraising and resource mobilization training program for its youth-led grantee disability justice focused grantee partners in Uganda. The assignment will include delivery of interactive training sessions, provision of follow-up coaching and technical support and guidance to participating organizations in developing clear, realistic, and actionable fundraising plans.
Description of services:
Plan, design, and deliver a practical, participatory training course for up to eight youth-led grassroots organizations in Uganda focused on fundraising and resource mobilization.
Provide one-to-one follow-up and mentoring support to organizations and assist them in developing innovative and effective fundraising plans.
Activities and deliverables:
Undertake an assessment of participating organizations’ fundraising capacities and training needs,
Plan, develop, and produce course content and materials on fundraising in close collaboration with participating organizations and based on their needs and realities
Work closely with FGHR, the host organization – Show Abilities Uganda and participating grantees to co-ordinate logistics and resources for the training
Deliver and evaluate fundraising training that responds to the specific needs and capacities of the grantees
Identify and invite suitable resource persons and facilitators to provide input where necessary
Provide follow-up and mentoring support to grantees and assist them in developing plans of action based on learning points from the course
Produce report on the capacity building process with recommendations for future training and technical assistance
Skills and qualifications
The successful candidate/s is/are expected to have the following skills and attributes:
Degree level qualification in related fields
Demonstrated track record of designing and delivering technical assistance to civil society organizations on fundraising and resource mobilization.
Familiarity with youth-led civil society organizations in Uganda especially those working on disability justice
Ability to provide mentoring support to leaders of emerging organizations
Proficiency in one or two Bantu languages spoken in Eastern Uganda (e.g., Luganda, Lusoga…) will be an added advantage.
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
Demonstrated experience in preparing analytical reports and formulating policy recommendations.
Experience working with youth-led organizations, particularly those led by young people with disabilities, is highly desirable. The consultant should demonstrate an understanding of inclusive approaches to capacity building, ensuring that training materials, delivery methods, and follow-up support are accessible and responsive to the diverse needs of participants with disabilities.

Proposed fee for provision of services not exceeding $6,000.
The closing date for applications is 31st January 2026, with the assignment expected to begin February 2026.
Duration
The assignment is expected to last up to 30 days, including training design, delivery, follow-up support, and reporting.
