The Planning & Reporting Coordinator plays a key role in consolidating planning inputs from Project, Operations, and Corporate teams to develop an integrated corporate planning strategy. The role involves ensuring alignment with company objectives, supporting departments without dedicated planners, and developing reporting dashboards for stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning Consolidation & Review

  • Consolidate planning inputs (yearly and 5-year plans) from Project, Operations, and Corporate teams.
  • Ensure alignment of schedules with overall company objectives.
  • Review contractor schedules for accuracy and compliance.

2. Corporate & Cross-Functional Support

  • Assist Corporate departments (Land & Social, Environment, Sustainability, CSR) in planning and tracking.
  • Support Operations in setting up their planning structure.
  • Liaise with Project Control and other planning engineers for interface consistency.

3. Reporting & Dashboards

  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for corporate activities and stakeholder reporting.
  • Provide progress analysis, simulations, and corrective action recommendations.

4. Coordination & Compliance

  • Attend regular meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) to track corporate planning impacts.
  • Ensure adherence to H3SE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) and ethical standards.
  • Implement best practices in scheduling and progress control.

Context & Challenges

  • EACOP is a major infrastructure project (Capex: $4.4B, Opex: $2.5B+ over 25 years).
  • Fast-track development under tight budget constraints.
  • Technical & environmental challenges (world’s longest electrically heated pipeline).
  • Cross-border coordination between Uganda and Tanzania.

Required Skills & Experience

Education & Professional Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years in planning roles (industrial projects, Oil & Gas preferred).
  • 3+ years in a similar position (consolidated planning, reporting).
  • Experience in Land Acquisition, Environmental, or Social Performance is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Mandatory: Advanced Primavera P6 expertise.
  • Mandatory: Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) & Power BI skills.
  • Preferred: Experience in Oil & Gas mega-projects.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work under pressure & tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills (multicultural environment).
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken).

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to field sites in Uganda/Tanzania.
  • Team player with adaptability in an international setting.
  • Ethical compliance with company policies.
