The Data Analyst – Commercial Department is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making, performance monitoring, and process optimization across the department. The role will also provide core operational support to the Processing Unit, ensuring data integrity, timely reporting, and efficient order management. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights to drive operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various commercial unit systems (Processing, Client Support, Dispatch).
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management review.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement using data-driven insights.
- Create dashboards and visualizations to support operational and strategic decisions.
Processing Operations Support
- Monitor and support daily order processing activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist the Processing Team in managing the order deck and tracking order flow.
- Ensure that system updates or changes are reflected in performance tracking tools.
- Provide analytical feedback to streamline processing workflows.
System and Data Management
- Maintain data accuracy in internal systems and ensure timely data entry.
- Collaborate with the IT and systems teams to improve system functionality and data capture.
- Develop and maintain internal data tracking tools (Excel models, Power BI, etc.).
Process Improvement
- Collaborate with unit heads to identify inefficiencies and recommend data-informed improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of process changes based on analytical findings.
- Conduct root cause analyses of operational issues and suggest corrective actions.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with the Commercial Team Leader and unit heads to align data strategies with departmental goals.
- Serve as the point of contact for all analytics-related requests within the department.
- Provide insights and recommendations during departmental reviews and planning meetings.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy and timeliness of departmental performance reports.
- Reduction in order processing errors and delays.
- Number of data-driven process improvements implemented.
- Usage and feedback on dashboards and visualizations developed.
- Efficiency in supporting processing operations and maintaining a clear order deck.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a data analysis or operations support role.
- Proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience working in commercial or operations departments is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ERP or workflow systems (e.g., Odoo) preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision.
