JOB DETAILS:
To provide accurate, high-quality translation and interpretation between English and Chinese, supporting communication between teams, clients, and stakeholders in business, technical, and administrative settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate written documents, reports, and correspondence from English to Chinese and vice versa.
- Provide verbal interpretation during meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- Ensure translations maintain original meaning, tone, and context.
- Work closely with local and international teams to facilitate smooth communication.
- Maintain confidentiality of all translated materials and information.
- Proofread and edit translated documents for accuracy and clarity.
- Assist in preparing bilingual materials for training, marketing, or operational purposes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ugandan national with proven fluency in both English and Chinese — written and spoken.
- Diploma or Degree in Languages, Translation, Linguistics, International Relations, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in translation/interpretation work.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances in both languages.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Cultural awareness and adaptability.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
