Advocacy for community transformation (ACT-SS) and Global Agro-Pastoral Resilience Investment (APRI) Services Ltd
Advocacy for community transformation (ACT-SS) supported by Global APRI Services Ltd is currently implementing a European Union funded project in South Sudan “Addressing Migration and Mobility Challenges through Sustainable Livelihoods and Protection of Migrants in South
Sudan”. The project aims to improve the protection of vulnerable migrants and mobile communities from irregular forms of migration, especially trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants through awareness-raising and community mobilization and also address the root causes of irregular migration and mobility by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities and economic empowerment for women, youth and of vulnerable migrants in the Marial Lou Payam in Tonj North County, Warrap State.

Job position: Gender equality expert
Technical Focus: Provide technical guidance on gender integration across the project cycle, ensuring that gender-sensitive approaches are incorporated into program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Build the capacity of project staff and stakeholders to promote gender equality and social inclusion.
Key Results: Well developed gender action plan to guide project interventions and gender inclusiveness implemented in all project activities.

Key Functions
• Identify the basic elements of gender mainstreaming approach and strategies within the project framework, identify practical skills to measure project capacities to address and mainstream gender issues in the project implementation.
• Provide technical guidance on integrating gender and inclusion in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of activities.
• Conduct gender analyses and assessments to identify gender gaps and develop strategies for addressing them within the scope of the project.
• Design and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance staff and stakeholder understanding of gender issues and support the development of gender-sensitive tools and resources to facilitate knowledge sharing and learning.
• Contribute to project reports with a component on gender-related topics, analyze data, and generate evidence.
• Participate in the development of a gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of interventions and track progress towards gender equality goals.
• Provide regular reports on gender-related indicators, achievements and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Develop a gender action plan to guide project interventions.

Minimum Requirements
• South Sudan National
• A Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in gender equality programming, preferably in migration, protection, or livelihoods projects.
