JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To drive the profitability targets of MARKH Investments by maximizing the company’s operational capabilities, oversee marketing strategies and guarantee customer satisfaction. Direct and manage the organizational business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs to drive growth.

Responsibilities
• Budget management – from various source funds.
• Strategic planning: Strategically planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and fleet, customer services.
• Health, Safety and Security
• Client Management for all existing and new company clients
• Responsible for driving the strategy throughout the organization, and will have various departments sitting under them including, but not limited to HR, Customer Experience, Health & Safety, Transport, Warehousing.
• Overseeing the Company Costs and Debt Management
• Overseeing project completion timelines, monitoring project costs, and ensuring client needs are met
• Oversees departmental or company operations, ensuring all projects are completed on-time and on-budget.
• Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers, Job Responsibilities
• Improvement of customer service levels by developing standard processes and continuously managing the operations resources in an effective way.
• Ensures that the company’s operational standards are in line with the country’s quality standards and meet the local market requirements.
• Awareness and implementation of the country Health and Safety regulations.
• Complaint management for all Operations related customer issues and dispute resolution.
• Involvement in the Customer Credit Management process.
• Recruit, Supervise, coach and train all operational teams including the
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets and reporting.
• Take responsibility and initiative in smooth running of all business operations.
• Create a department strategic plan which complies with and enhances the company-wide strategic plan and business plan.
• Maintain strong relationships with any third-parties (vendors, financial institutions, suppliers) the department works with regularly to ensure smooth procurement and delivery of products and services.
• Provide outstanding leadership to team members, including opportunities for coaching and development, to maximize work output and work quality
• Works with the Managing Director and other Heads of Functions to influence the creation and communication of company strategy, business priorities and targets for the Regional Teams and ensures there are systems in place to enable other members to receive the information in a timely manner.
• Works with the HR Business Partner to ensure people management issues are satisfactorily resolved and relevant HR policies and procedures are adhered to.
Chairs disciplinary, grievance, capability, hearings and appeals as required.

Person Specification
Education, Training, Skills & Experience Knowledge
• Bachelors in Business Administration, Human Resource, Finance, Management degree or a field related to their work.

Experience
• Minimum of five years’ general business management experience in the areas of transport and Logistics, supply chain management, managing human resources, financial management, procurement, customer service delivery reflecting the key duties of this role.
• Knowledge of HSSE is an advantage.
