JOB DETAILS:
Position Overview:
• The Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategies related to corporate communication, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability initiatives. This role involves aligning corporate affairs efforts with sustainable practices, fostering transparency, and ensuring effective communication both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:
1. Corporate Communication and Reputation Management:
• Develop and execute comprehensive corporate communication strategies that enhance the company’s reputation and brand image.
• Lead efforts to craft consistent messaging across all communication channels.
• Monitor public perception and manage crisis communication to safeguard the company’s reputation.
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
• Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees, government bodies, NGOs, and community groups.
• Develop strategies to address stakeholder concerns and collaborate on shared goals.
3. Sustainability Strategy and Reporting:
• Lead the development and execution of the company’s sustainability strategy, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into business operations.
• Ensure accurate and transparent reporting on sustainability progress and achievements.
4. Internal and External Communication:
• Develop and implement internal communication strategies that foster employee engagement and alignment with sustainability goals.
• Oversee external communication efforts, including press releases, media statements, and presentations, to communicate sustainability achievements.
5. Media Relations:
• Serve as the company’s spokesperson and primary contact for media inquiries related to corporate affairs and sustainability.
• Cultivate relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure positive coverage.
6. Government Relations and Advocacy:
• Monitor regulatory developments and advocate for policies that support sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with government affairs teams to influence relevant policies and regulations.
7. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives:
• Lead the planning and execution of CSR programs that align with the company’s values and contribute positively to the community and society.
• Ensure transparent reporting on CSR efforts to stakeholders.
8. Crisis Management and Risk Mitigation:
• Develop crisis communication plans and protocols that address potential reputational risks.
• Lead communication efforts during crises to minimize negative impact and maintain stakeholder trust.
9. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Manage and mentor the corporate affairs and sustainability teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align communication and sustainability efforts.
10. Measurement and Reporting:
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of corporate affairs and sustainability initiatives.
• Regularly report progress, outcomes, and insights to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Sustainability, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in corporate affairs, communications, sustainability, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of sustainability practices, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and navigate complex stakeholder dynamics.
• Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and managing teams.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability standards.

Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in corporate affairs, communications, sustainability, or related roles.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing sustainability strategies and initiatives.
• Proficiency in integrating sustainability practices into corporate communication efforts.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and managing relationships with diverse groups.
• Strong project management skills and ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
• The Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability plays a crucial role in shaping the company’s reputation, sustainability practices, and stakeholder relationships. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate corporate values and sustainability efforts while fostering collaboration and positive impact.
