Job Description
On behalf of our Client in the Logistics sector, we are looking for competent individuals for their Logistics Graduate Trainee program. The program focus is on skill development, knowledge transfer, and future leadership. The Program will involve department rotation to provide exposure to different business functions such as Logistics, Exports, Imports, Airfreight and core operations.
DUTIES
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, quality personnel, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of freight about information related to the shipment.
- Compiles carrier and route assignments.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of shipments.
- Successfully conducts and completes all assigned trainings.
- Participates in continuous improvement training and trains others.
- Oversees hazardous waste storage areas, hazardous waste documentation, equipment, and procedures.
- Understands and follows proper spills and emergency cleanup procedures.
- Prepares hazardous waste shipments, including proper labeling of all hazardous waste.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
- Coordinate and manage the procurement of freight services through 4PL/3PL service providers and manage the logistics process though confirmation of product delivery to the client.
- Assess freight options and obtain corresponding cost quotes for air, sea, or overland freight (or combinations thereof), based on clients’ needs, required lead times, and requested incoterms.
- Schedule shipments and arrange products’ dispatch.
- Manage the shipment customs clearance processes according to the agreed incoterms.
- Identify special or reoccurring delivery problems and work to devise timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Assist in addressing urgent stock out or at-risk shipments, follow up with 3PLs, procurement, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Not more than two (2) years bachelor’s degree in relevant area or equivalent work experience
- 70% and above CGPA
