Background
As an Operations Associate at ASIGMA, your responsibilities encompass enhancing operational processes through workflow analysis, optimization, and automation. You will assist in resource allocation, managing personnel, equipment, and budgets to meet operational goals, while ensuring quality standards through control protocols and inspections. Identifying and mitigating operational risks, including disaster recovery planning, security, and regulatory compliance, is a crucial aspect of your role. You will oversee operational projects, manage budgets, and optimize financial resources.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This may involve workflow analysis, process optimization, and automation.
- Supporting in the allocation of resources such as personnel, equipment, and budget to meet operational goals and objectives. This includes contractor resources, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Monitor and enforce quality standards to ensure that products or services meet established criteria. This can involve developing quality control protocols and conducting inspections.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure the continuity of business operations. This includes disaster recovery planning, security protocols, and compliance with regulations.
- Manage and oversee operational projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation. This may involve cross-functional teams and coordination of various tasks.
- Address operational issues and challenges as they arise. This requires the ability to identify problems, analyse root causes, and implement solutions.
- Support in managing budgets, control costs, and optimize financial resources to meet operational goals and targets.
- Evaluate and contribute to the implementation of technology solutions that can enhance operational efficiency. This may involve software, hardware, or process automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, project management, engineering, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in operational management.
- Attention to detail e.g., "being able to spot two sentences among 100 that are missing full stops."
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and working with ERP systems is an added advantage.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
