Pride is an equal opportunity employer looking for competent and experienced individuals to fill the position of Relationship Officer – Agribusiness, Relationship Officer-Group Lending and Relationship Officer - Community Banking.
1. RELATIONSHIP OFFICER – AGRI BUSINESS:
The Relationship Officer Agribusiness is reports to the Relationship Manager & is responsible for recruiting and nurturing new Agribusiness deals, growing the existing relationships, monitor and maintain the Bank’s Business portfolio within manageable risk spheres to enhance profitability.
Specific responsibilities include: -
- Recruiting, naturing and sustaining new Agribusiness relationships that have a potential to grow and provide superior returns and contribute towards assets and liabilities growth as per set targets.
- Active pipeline management with the objective to meet agreed personal growth objectives across all product ranges and clients’ segments.
- Superior management of the client portfolio in order to grow and retain existing business, whilst continuously reviewing existing client wallets with an eye to optimizing the Bank’s revenue through selling/promoting appropriate product bundles.
- Actively undertaking the negotiation and structuring of transactions in the prospective and closing stages with the aim of attaining value for the client, while protecting the business interests of the Bank.
- Work together with other stakeholders on the timely and efficient preparation of high-quality credit proposals and drive turn-around time well within the Bank’s objectives.
- Vigilant arrears management in line with the Bank’s policies to spot early attention areas – the objective is to maintain the loan portfolio’s NPA percentage (well) within agreed parameters.
- Assess credit requests, in line with the bank’s credit standards, policies, procedures and practices and recommend action to the credit department and committee.
Minimum academic qualifications, Experience & competences
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in agriculture or any related discipline.
- Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of the Banking environment.
- Advanced, computer literacy, numerical skills and statistical skills.
- Team player, ability to work under pressure and in position to exercise excellent judgment.
- Should not be more than 40 years of age
- 2 Principal passes at A’ Level
- Credit and/or pass in English and Mathematics at O’ level.
