Job Summary:
We are looking for experienced and reliable Sales Representatives who are currently employed as Tuk Tuk riders to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for field sales, distribution, and trade marketing activities for established manufacturers, distributors, and products in the market. You will be provided with a company-maintained Tuk Tuk to transport food products, engage with customers, and drive sales within the Kampala area. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of immediately stepping into a sales driven role.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Promotion: Actively promote and sell our food products to potential customers along your route, ensuring product placement and meeting sales targets.
Route Management: Efficiently navigate the Kampala area using the Tuk Tuk, ensuring timely deliveries and high-quality customer interactions.
Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, answer queries, and build strong relationships to encourage repeat business.
Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed a daily sales target of UGX 1,000,000. Earn a 2% commission on sales exceeding the target.
Tuk Tuk Maintenance: Ensure the Tuk Tuk is kept clean and in good condition. Report any issues to management for prompt resolution.
Daily Reporting: Accurately record sales, payments, and customer feedback. Provide daily reports to the Sales Supervisor.
Team Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to align with promotional campaigns and drive sales growth.
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 1-2 years as a Tuk Tuk rider, preferably with experience in sales or food delivery.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and Luganda required to communicate effectively with customers.
Driving Skills: Valid driver's license with a clean record and the ability to operate a Tuk Tuk safely.
Sales Skills: Proven ability to meet sales targets, drive revenue, and communicate product value.
Self-Motivation: Strong self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work long hours and navigate busy streets while maintaining a positive attitude.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: UGX 400,000 (Net pay)
Commission: 2% on sales for achieving the daily target of UGX 1,000,000
Food Allowance: Daily food allowance (Approx. UGX 4,000 as negotiated)
Tuk Tuk Maintenance: Maintenance of the Tuk Tuk will be provided by Globus Food.
Expected Minimum Monthly Salary: UGX 464,614 gross
