1. Background of Omia Agribusiness Development Group

Omia Agribusiness started operations in 2018 after identifying a gap of limited access to affordable climate smart inputs, extension services and limited access to profitable markets resulting in low yields, food insecurity and abject poverty.
Omia Agribusiness sales and distributes smart climate agricultural inputs to last mile farmers through 13 outlets spread across the country. The company has established a network of agents that helps with last mile access and demonstrations of the best agronomic practices and technologies in Agriculture. We have also developed a USSD code *846*173# that helps farmers to access all our services at the comfort of their farms without need for internet or a smart phone. We provide free on farm extension services to ensure farmers succeed in their farming initiatives. Omia Agribusiness also provides Market solutions for farmers produce by providing market information, buying back farmer output and linking farmers to other off taker eliminating the brokers who often take advantage of farmers. Omia Agribusiness Development Group Ltd is an agribusiness enterprise working to ensure every farmer in Africa has access to genuine, quality, and affordable agricultural inputs, technical support, and markets for their produce.

2. Project Summary:
Omia Agribusiness Development Group is one of the Seven partners implementing Sustainable Inclusive Youth Employment Pathways (SIYEP) for young women aimed at equipping 258,000 rural young women with technical vocational, entrepreneurial and agribusiness skills to help transition into world of work (dignified and fulfilling) by 2030. The SIYEP project is a five-year initiative from 2025 to 2030 funded by Mastercard Foundation, led by AFARD, and implemented by Omia Agribusiness Development Group Ltd. For Omia Agribusiness Development Group, project aims to empower 70,000 young women between 18-35 years in the West Nile districts of Yumbe, Adjumani, Obongi and Nwoya through targeted skilling in agriculture, entrepreneurship and access to market.
To effectively communicate the project’s progress, impact, and success stories, Omia Agribusiness seeks the services of a qualified communications consultancy firm to document project milestones from inception to completion through photography, videography, storytelling, and strategic communication content.

3. Objective of the Assignment
The overall objective of this consultancy is to document, publicize, and enhance visibility of the SIYEP project through professional multimedia content, articles, and strategic communication materials that reflect Omia Agribusiness’s impact and brand identity.

4. Scope of Work
The selected consultant will be responsible for providing comprehensive communication and documentation services, including but not limited to: a) Photography and Videography
• Capture high-quality photos and videos of project activities, beneficiaries, and events across all project locations.
• Produce short documentary videos highlighting key milestones, success stories, and beneficiary testimonies.
• Provide edited photo and video content suitable for social media, reports, and presentations.
b) Content Creation and Documentation
• Write feature articles, blog posts, and press releases showcasing project activities, innovations, and achievements.
• Document success stories and human-interest narratives from beneficiaries across project districts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly communication summaries of project progress for reports and websites.
c) Social Media and Digital Content
• Support Omia’s communications team with social media updates (Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) on project milestones.
• Develop creative graphics, posters, and infographics for digital campaigns.
• Ensure alignment of tone, imagery, and messages with Omia’s brand guidelines.
d) Website Content Development
• Regularly update the Omia Agribusiness website with SIYEP-related news, success stories, and photo/video galleries.
• Recommend improvements to enhance visibility and engagement of the website content. e) Branding and Visibility
• Develop communication materials such as brochures, banners, and flyers to promote project visibility.
• Support brand consistency across all project outputs and events.
• Produce radio scripts, media briefs, and talk-show content to promote awareness of project interventions.

5. Deliverables
The consultant/media house will deliver the following outputs:
a. Comprehensive Communication and Documentation Plan for the SIYEP project.
b. High-resolution photo and video archives from all project field activities and events.
c. Short documentaries and video highlights (2–5 minutes each) for key milestones.
d. Weekly social media content packages (photos, captions, infographics, and hashtags).
e. Monthly feature articles and success stories for publication and website updates.
f. Final documentation report and impact video at the end of the project period.

6. Duration of the Assignment
The assignment will run for the project period, from 15/11/2025 to 30/11/2026, renewable annually based on the satisfaction of service delivery, with deliverables submitted according to the agreed work plan and activity schedule.

7. Reporting and Supervision The consultant/media house will:
• Report directly to the Project Manager-SIYEP, under the supervision of the Chief People and Culture Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Omia Agribusiness.
• Work closely with the internal communications team to ensure message alignment and brand consistency.

8. Required Qualifications and Experience The selected firm should demonstrate:
• Proven experience in corporate communications, media production, and storytelling, preferably in development or agribusiness projects.
• Expertise in photography, videography, and digital media editing tools.
• Strong writing and content development skills in English.
• Ability to travel to project sites across West Nile and other operational areas.

9. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
• Technical capacity and portfolio of previous work (20%)
• Understanding of the assignment and proposed methodology (20%)
• Qualifications and team composition (30%)
• Financial proposal and value for money (30%)

10. Submission of Proposals
Interested consultants are invited to submit:
• A 2-page technical proposal outlining their skills and expertise in the required area of work.
• A financial proposal detailing costs for the assignment. (Price Quotation)
