Job Summary
Our client, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company in Kampala, is seeking a reliable and motivated Tuk Tuk Sales Drivers to support product distribution and sales operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving a company-provided tuk-tuk to deliver goods to retailers, promote sales, and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring timely and efficient product distribution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive a tuk-tuk to distribute FMCG products to retail outlets, markets, and vendors within assigned routes.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products while maintaining proper inventory records.
- Actively promote sales by engaging with customers, upselling products, and securing new orders.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with retailers and customers.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide product information.
- Collect market feedback and report to the sales team.
- Conduct daily checks on the tuk-tuk to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and ensure proper handling of goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tuk-tuk and products.
- Submit daily sales and delivery reports to the supervisor.
- Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly and submit accurate records.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid driving permit/license for tuk-tuks or motorcycles.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in sales, delivery, or FMCG distribution.
- Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Familiarity with Kampala routes and market areas is a plus
