JOB DETAILS:

Sinapis is looking for a high-performing Uganda Sales Manager who possesses strategic and creative sales and marketing experience and has a proven track record in helping relationship-driven customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. This will be shown by keeping Sinapis Uganda competitive and innovative as well as growing its brand considerably. We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded sales leader who has a passion for others, is connected within the greater Ugandan business community, and can support campaigns that connect directly with our target audience.

Reporting to: Uganda Country Manager
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Expected hours: Full-time
Experience: 5+ years in sales management roles

Sinapis is a Christian organization that equips faith-driven entrepreneurs to grow companies that change the world. Our mission is to make disciples and alleviate poverty through the power of entrepreneurship. We serve entrepreneurs in emerging market nations and help grow Kingdom businesses by blending intensive business training with faith-based principles and access to capital. These entrepreneurs learn to scale their business while making a social and spiritual impact in their community.
We have trained over 5,000 entrepreneurs, and our services are offered in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ghana, Liberia, Egypt, Brazil, Mongolia, Mexico, Mozambique, and Burundi. As Sinapis continues to expand, a key part of our strategy is to continue to develop a best-in-class faith-driven entrepreneurship ecosystem in East Africa. We are also working to equip other organizations and networks around the world with our training programs, toolkits, and systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1. Work with Sinapis Global sales leadership to adopt strategies for the Uganda market context
2. Implement a local sales strategy and plan that focuses on growing the Sinapis Uganda customer base, ensuring the strong presence and success of this strategy
3. Achieve measurable growth by hitting sales targets and successfully managing the development of new customers and partners
4. Build and promote strong, lasting customer relationships through our partners by understanding and delivering on their needs
5. Recruit, set objectives, coach, and monitor the performance of the sales function and future direct reports at Sinapis Uganda
6. Be comfortable carrying out these duties as a one-person team at first with a view towards building out a team of direct reports over time
7. Collaborate with the East Africa Marketing Manager to understand and deliver on regional marketing and branding standards, working together to maximize impact
8. Identify emerging market needs, opportunities, trends, and market shifts while being aware of new products and the competitive landscape
9. Proactively stay active and visible in the Uganda entrepreneurship ecosystem
10. Train and provide professional development for Sales Team members by setting weekly, monthly, and quarterly goal-based targets while maintaining client relationships
11. Other related tasks as assigned

9. You are a follower of Christ and have a healthy relationship with Him
10. You are energetic, hardworking, and willing to go the extra mile to complete an assignment
11. You are humble and have a teachable spirit


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
2. 3 to 5 years of experience managing a high-performing sales team as well as leading and delivering on a consultative sales process
3. 2 to 3 years of experience providing mentorship and coaching to individual team members
4. Proven track record in creating sales forecasts, identifying new areas of growth, and accurately analyzing sales performance data
5. A heart for our mission and a passion for alleviating poverty through private sector development
6. Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; Adobe Creative Suite and HubSpot a plus
7. Solid understanding of business, entrepreneurship, and missions
8. Experienced in contacting, negotiating and working with external clients
9. Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
10. Experience successfully mentoring and leading others effectively
11. Strong character and integrity
12. Ability to work independently in a small team environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Degree in marketing, advertising, business management, graphic design, and/or ability to prove experience through your portfolio
2. 5+ years of relevant experience in a senior sales role at an NGO, creative agency, or SGB that shows your ability to work on a variety of projects
