Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Oversee repairs and ensure work is completed according to specifications
• Manage the maintenance budget and analyze costs
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies
• Track the entire life cycle of vehicles, form acquisition to replacement
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, registration, insurance and inspections
• Develop fleet management tools to monitor and report on fleet status.
• Ensure that the fleet complies with all relevant safety, environmental and legal regulations
• Investigate and report on fleet related incidents and accidents
• Enforce safety regulations and conduct staff safety meetings
• Emergency response & rescue services in case of accident and breakdowns.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Mechanical /Power & automotive engineering
• A diploma in Mechanical /Power & Automotive engineering

Details of experience

At least 3-5 years of experience managing a fleet of heavy duty trucks and trailers or in a related maintenance role is typically required.
