Background
The Relationship Manager will work with the sector head to develop and grow the business in ICT sector. The Relationship Manager will manage a portfolio of existing clients, identify new business opportunities, and provide tailored financial solutions to meet the needs of companies operating in these sectors.
Responsible for managing assigned corporate relationships within business segments through origination in line with targets and expectations. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for offering the best customer experience to the assigned clientele to ensure retention and growth of business through deeper understanding of the client’s business and operations to enable the bank to grow its share of wallet by meeting the client’s business needs.
Responsibilities/Key Deliverables
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their business needs and providing financial solutions to support their growth.
- Identify new business opportunities, including new entrants, expansions, and projects in the ICT sector.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on financial products and services, beneficial partnerships, and cash management solutions.
- Conduct financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and due diligence on potential clients and transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of financial solutions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes impacting the ICT sector.
Financial Responsibility
- Achieve balance sheet growth targets (assets & liabilities).
- Achieve income (interest & non-interest) targets.
- Achieve electronic banking enrolment targets.
- Achieve portfolio quality targets.
- Achievement of sector targets for product launches/enhancements.
- Achieve off balance sheet targets.
Person Specification
Requirements
Academic Qualification.
- University graduate (Hons)
- Skills in Sales, Credit & Relationship Management will be an added advantage
- Track record in sales management
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in banking and FinTechs, of which 2–3 should be in relationship management & sales
- Relevant business experience and acumen
- Outgoing, self-motivated, and a good team player able to work under minimum supervision – self-drive and initiative
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Keen understanding of Telco operations
- A self-starter who is oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Full of energy and enthusiasm
- Excellent relationship management skills
Key Performance Indicators
- Portfolio growth and revenue targets
- Client satisfaction and retention
- New business acquisition and revenue generation
- Credit quality and risk management
Business Behaviours
- Outgoing, self-motivated, and a good team player able to work under minimum supervision – self-drive and initiative
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- A self-starter who is oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Full of energy and enthusiasm
