Background
Brookside Africa Limited, a leading market player in the dairy sector, with manufacturing facilities within the region, is seeking to recruit highly qualified, committed, motivated and experienced individuals for its subsidiary Brookside Limited. Brookside Limited, is the manufacturer of Fresh Dairy milk and milk products, a heritage brand in Uganda. Brookside’s vision is to be the market leader in East and Central Africa for milk and milk products and be the benchmark in the industry in Africa. Our operations are focused in the processing of safe quality milk and milk products that meets the customer requirements. As we continue to grow and uphold our commitment to excellence, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Sales and distribution team in the following role:
Responsibilities
- Responsible for selling only Brookside Limited milk products in specified routes and ensuring sales targets are attained as per the agreed guideline provisions
- Achieve on agreed set sales targets.
- Prepare an accurate sales forecast in order to receive confirmed orders from customers by use of order template.
- Ensure the right quantity of products are delivered to customers at the right time and at right places.
- Ensure all daily sales tracking documents/templates as provided by the sales supervisors/managers are duly filled up and handed over to your respective supervisor.
- Ensure customers do not experience stock outs within your designated sales area.
- Ensuring that prospecting for new outlets is constantly done so as to achieve sales growth.
- Ensuring that all payments are made for all the goods supplied.
- Ensuring that customer feedback is effectively handled.
- Ensuring that invoices /cash sale receipts are raised for every sale made.
- Ensuring to maintain in good order company property/sales equipment under your custody.
- Ensuring to present the right company image as per company policy.
- Ensuring to do daily sales reconciliation by giving details of daily sales transaction for approval by the manager/supervisor.
- To perform any other duties that may be assigned to you by your immediate superior.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Job holder must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or related field from a reputable University with emphasis on sales and marketing or any business course.
- A minimum of (02) years’ experience in sales & distribution in fast moving consumer goods.
- Knowledge in Retail Business Operations.
Competencies/Abilities/Skills/Knowledge
- Integrity
- Good Computer knowledge
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Self-motivated and result orientated
- Good interpersonal skills/ analytical, problem-solving and creative work approach.
- Must possess good customer-care skills.
- Team player skills.
