JOB TITLE: Senior Field Coordinator
A global leader in humanitarian assistance, the International Rescue Committee ( IRC ) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives.
The IRC has been working in Uganda since 1998 and is currently providing support to refugees in settlements in West Nile, including Omugo, Bidibidi and Imvepi. The current program portfolio in Uganda includes health, protection & rule of law, gender-based violence and women’s protection and empowerment, economic recovery and development.

The International Rescue Committee seeks to recruit a qualifi ed individual to fi ll the position of Senior Field Coordinator, who will be based in Yumbe, West Nile. Building on the achievements of the IRC so far in West Nile, the Senior Field Coordinator, under the management of the Deputy Director of Operations, will oversee all field management of IRC’s work in in West Nile, managing senior operations and programs staff.

Responsible for a staff of over 400 based in three locations in expansive settlements, the Senior Field Coordinator will work closely with the Kampala team to ensure that the fi eld operations are operationally functional and programs are of a consistently high quality. The Senior Field Coordinator will provide strategic direction and ensure suffi cient resources are effectively managed to ensure optimal programming.
