The Position

Steadman Global seeks a skilled and dynamic BDS Support Manager to join our consulting team. The BDS Support Manager will lead the design, coordination, and implementation of business development and enterprise support services for creative industry participants under the project. The role involves managing training programs, mentorship networks, and enterprise clinics to strengthen financial literacy, digital readiness, and business sustainability among MSMEs and individual creatives.

Your key responsibilities are:

Programme Planning and Coordination

  • Lead the implementation of the project’s financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and digital skilling components.
  • Develop annual and quarterly training work plans in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Coordinate regional training sessions and ensure equitable participation across creative categories (music, fashion, film, crafts, etc.).
  • Supervise the preparation, pretesting, and translation of training materials and manuals.
  • Oversee scheduling, logistics, and trainer assignments for all capacity-building sessions.

Training and Capacity Building

  • Identify training needs through assessments, surveys, and consultations with beneficiaries.
  • Work with subject experts to design and adapt training modules (e.g., financial literacy, business management, branding, digital tools).
  • Support the Training of Trainers (ToT) and ensure high-quality delivery by mentors and facilitators.
  • Monitor and evaluate training sessions to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
  • Promote gender-inclusive and youth-friendly approaches in all training activities.

Mentorship and Skills Transfer

  • Develop and maintain a network of mentors and resource persons within the creative industry.
  • Match participants with mentors for ongoing coaching and enterprise guidance.
  • Facilitate peer learning sessions, knowledge exchanges, and creative showcases.
  • Strengthen participant follow-up systems to measure skills application and behavioral change.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Track key performance indicators related to skills development and training outcomes.
  • Document success stories, best practices, and learning materials.
  • Prepare progress and training completion reports for submission to management and donors.
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual project reports.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with implementing partners, creative hubs, and skilling institutions for collaboration.
  • Represent the project in meetings, workshops, and industry forums related to skills development.
  • Maintain relationships with trainers, mentors, and partner organizations to ensure quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resource Development, Entrepreneurship, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Training & Development, Project Management, or Curriculum Design is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in training coordination, skills development, or capacity-building roles.
  • Proven experience managing multi-partner skilling projects (preferably donor-funded).
  • Strong understanding of MSME and creative industry dynamics.
  • Experience with ToT programs, adult learning methodologies, and digital training tools.
