Job Purpose
To provide technical leadership and guidance in the management of the IT function under URSB.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
-
- Plans and implements strategies for processing of production and registration of dat
- Develops appropriate procedures and work methods to ensure that registration and production of work plans and processes are efficient and cost effective.
- Validates benefits, costs, and opportunity fit of all process/opportunity/system changes and priorities these initiatives based on established guideline
- Establishes mechanisms for planning, completing and monitoring process changes for projects, pre-acquisitions and/or post-acquisitions including the assessment of returns (productivity, growth, et)
- Works with employees at all levels of the Organisation, as well as across all Businesses, on functional objectives and assesses the current processes performed within and among functional areas which support these objective
- Assumes ownership of the design, development, implementation, change management, compliance, and success measure
- Communicates the status of the initiatives and associated projects or teams to appropriate levels of the
- Participates in the business planning, capital planning and portfolio management processes to acquire resources needed to implement process improvements.
- Understands and manages readiness and capacity for technology changes.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Commissioner Information, Communications Technology & Innovation

Qualifications
-
- An Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering and Computer Engineering or Information Security from a recognised University of institution.
- A Master’s degree in either Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering and Computer Engineering or Information Security from a recognised University or institution.
- A professional qualification in COBIT, CCNA and Prince 2 or PMP.
Work Experience
At least nine (9) years’ work experience in IT, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Principal IT Officer Level in a reputable government or private institution.
