SUPPLY OF ONE (1) NO. FIREFIGHTING BOAT AND 9 NO. RESCUE BOATS IFB Number: MoWT/SPLS/2023-24/00021
The Government of Uganda represented by the Ministry of Works and Transport has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank towards the cost of the Multinational Lake Victoria Maritime Communication and Transport (MLVMCT) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of one (1) No. firefighting boat and nine (9) No. rescue boats. For this contract. the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank's Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.

The Ministry of Works and Transport now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for supply of one (1) No. firefighting boat to be delivered at Entebbe MRCC and Nine (9) No. rescue boats to be delivered with their respective carriers and deployed at Six (6) No. landing sites on Lake Victoria i.e., Kiyindi, Kaazi, Lwanika, Masese, Numba Emu, One (1) no. on Lake Kyoga at Zengebe, and Two (2) No. at Lake Albert at Kaiso and Panyimur.

Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), (OCBI) method as specified in the Bank's Procurement Framework Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Procurement and Disposal Unit, Ministry of Works and Transport procurement@works.go.ug  and inspect the bidding document during office hours (09:00 to 17:00 hours) at the address given below

The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Uganda shillings: One hundred thousand only (UGX.100,000). The method of payment will be banks authorized to receive non-tax revenue. The document will be sent by or picked from the address in 8 below.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 18th September 2023 at 11:00am (East African Time). Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 18" September 2023 at 11:30am (East African Time).

All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Ugx.100,000,000 (One hundred Million Uganda Shillings) or equivalent in freely convertible currency 8. The address(es) referred to above is (are):
