Grainpulse is hiring a Regional Commercial Supervisor (2) responsible for managing Hubs, planning, implementing, and tracking sales at Hubs, Agro dealers/Agro Vets, and Master Agents (MAs). The role includes sourcing and buying grain in and out of season, ensuring Retailers and Farms have required inputs from Grainpulse, achieving district targets, and ensuring profitable sales and sourcing margins.

Duties and Responsibilities

Performance

  • Achieve monthly targets for Agro-inputs, Animal feeds, Grain, and other company products.
  • Manage all Master Agents in the designated region.
  • Develop and train Village Agents (VAs) to promote agro-input sales and grain sourcing.
  • Monitor Village Agents’ KPIs to ensure farmers buy agro-inputs and sell grain back.
  • Track and manage major commercial farms to offer Grainpulse products/services and source grain.
  • Ensure Agro dealers’ outlets in the region are well-stocked with Grainpulse products.
  • Manage stock at the hubs.
  • Adhere to company operational guidelines.

Visibility and Availability

  • Fully brand and maintain Hub/store outlets for functionality.
  • Ensure visibility and availability of Grainpulse products/services in distribution channels.
  • Drive awareness through trade channels in the region.
  • Set up and maintain well-labeled demonstration plots in strategic areas.

Identifying Business Development Opportunities

  • Conduct market and competition analysis in the region.
  • Identify partnership opportunities with stakeholders.
  • Identify new product lines and assess their business viability.
  • Explore new business channels.

Participation and Planning of Agricultural Events

  • Design an annual calendar of agricultural events aligned with business needs.
  • Develop a marketing strategy for the region and secure budget approval before the season.
  • Obtain stakeholder buy-in for events.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Effectively manage relationships with:
    • Master Agents
    • Agro Dealers
    • Agro Retailers
    • Commercial Farmers
    • Village Agents

Qualifications, Skills, and Work Experience

  • Education: Degree in a Business-Related field; a Certificate in Agriculture is an added advantage.
  • Experience: Over 5 years of sales experience; 1 year in a related field is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Proficient in customer relationship management.
    • Fluent in English and multiple local Ugandan languages.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in a manual transmission vehicle (extensive upcountry and rural driving required).
