Job Summary:
Quality Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures, training team members, and monitoring performance to ensure these are properly followed. It plays an essential role in ensuring that licences plates meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing quality control systems and measures.
- Supervising and guiding staff members in their daily operations.
- Conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Identifying and addressing training needs and opportunities for team improvement.
- Investigating customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Collecting, analysing, and summarizing statistical quality data.
- Evaluating the performance of the quality system and making improvements as required.
- Maintaining open communication with management and team members, discussing system and compliance concerns.
- Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with both national and international regulatory standards.
- Creating, implementing and managing corrective actions, and monitoring the results.
- Analyse data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Defect Detection Rate.
- Audit Compliance.
- Process Efficiency.
- First Pass Yield.
- Customer Complaints.
- Training Effectiveness.
- Inspection-Related Safety Incidents.
- 100% accurate encoding and record-keeping.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, industrial management, quality control, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the role as Quality Supervisor, or 3 to 5 years of experience in roles such as Quality Assurance Analyst, Quality Control Inspector or Process Improvement Associate.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure product quality is maintained.
- Ability to develop and implement effective quality control procedures using strategic planning and process management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to relay information between the QA team and other departments, as well as to clients and suppliers.
- Organizational skills and keen attention to detail to keep track of all QA operations, ensuring no errors or issues are overlooked.
- Leadership and team management skills to oversee the QA team, ensuring they are effectively trained and their performance is optimal.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing to generate detailed reports on quality assurance results, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
- Understanding relevant regulatory standards and legislation to ensure products and processes are compliant.
