What You'll Be Doing:

Project Delivery & Accountability: Lead and deliver medium- to large-scale field data collection projects end-to-end, with full accountability for scope, timelines, budget, and data quality. Oversee project setup, resourcing, training, field execution, monitoring, and final data submission, proactively managing risks and trade-offs to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality outputs that meet both client expectations and Pula’s operational standards.

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement: Drive delivery quality across the department by identifying systemic quality gaps and strengthening QA frameworks, while owning the end-to-end operationalization of SOPs. Ensure QA processes are fully implemented and embedded in day-to-day execution, rapidly diagnose why adoption fails, and independently implement corrective actions to deliver sustained, scalable improvements in delivery quality.

People & Performance Management: Directly manage Country Field Operations Managers and indirectly lead large field teams, focusing on capacity building, performance management, and fostering a high-performance culture that prioritizes accountability, quality, and professional growth.

Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a primary client contact for Field Operations for assigned projects, providing clear communication on progress, risks, data quality issues, and alignment on scope, methodology, and deliverables. Maintain strong relationships to ensure client trust and satisfaction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with multiple departments, including Insurance Operations, Data Services, Technology, Commercial Management, across full project lifecycles to ensure seamless execution, continuous improvement, and excellent internal client satisfaction.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives: Lead and execute ad-hoc projects or department-wide initiatives, including piloting new methodologies, scaling best practices, or implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency, team capacity, and delivery quality. Take full ownership from concept through implementation to ensure initiatives achieve impact and integrate effectively with ongoing operations.

The Right Candidate Will Have:

Proven Project Management: 5–7 years of experience managing complex, multi-country projects in social enterprises, NGOs, the UN, private sector, or similar organizations. Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects end-to-end, including large-scale data collection with extensive field teams in rural areas.

Quality Assurance & Operational Excellence: Strong expertise in implementing and monitoring QA processes, ensuring data integrity and operational standards are consistently met. Ability to identify gaps, design practical solutions, and embed continuous improvement across teams and projects.

Organizational & Leadership Skills: Excellent organizational abilities and experience managing teams, coaching direct reports, and tracking performance to ensure high-quality outcomes across multiple geographies.

Financial & Operational Acumen: Experience in budget management, including forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, coupled with a focus on operational efficiency and quality delivery.

Collaboration & Cross-Cultural Experience: Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration to achieve ambitious targets and high-quality results.

Integrity & Self-Management: Exceptional work ethic, integrity, and the ability to autonomously manage multiple tasks and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding academic record.

Additional Skills: Fluency in French is a plus.
