JOB DETAILS:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivatedAgriculture Project Manager to lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of income-generating agricultural projects in Mukono District. The ideal candidate will analyze local agricultural opportunities, identify viable projects, and support farmers to achieve a target of UGX 12 million in annual revenue per project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market and feasibility studies to identify the most profitable and sustainable agricultural projects in Mukono District.
• Develop project proposals and implementation plans for farmer empowerment initiatives.
• Coordinate with farmers, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Monitor and evaluate project performance, providing actionable insights to maximize income generation.
• Train and mentor farmers on best agricultural practices, business management, and sustainable farming techniques.
• Prepare reports on project outcomes, financial impact, and recommendations for scaling.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in agricultural project management or farmer empowerment initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in feasibility studies and market analysis.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Mukono District’s agricultural landscape and local farming challenges is an advantage.
• Passion for community development and empowering rural farmers.
