Job Overview:
The warehouse Storekeeper is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining the inventory of components, materials, and tools required for the production and assembly of digital number plates, as well as the installation of surveillance cameras at traffic junctions. Key components include number plates, plate frames, trackers, beacons, sim cards, and chips, along with all necessary tools and materials for both production and installation tasks. This role requires efficient inventory management, timely dispatching of items, and meticulous record-keeping to support smooth operations within the production and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management
- Oversee and manage inventory levels for number plate production components, including plates, frames, trackers, beacons, sim cards, and chips, alongside tools and materials necessary for assembling and installation.
- Monitor stock levels for surveillance camera equipment and installation materials used at traffic junctions across cities.
- Conduct regular stock audits to ensure physical counts match recorded inventory, promptly reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Receiving and Dispatching
- Receive and verify all incoming shipments of components, tools, and materials, documenting receipts in the inventory management system.
- Coordinate the timely dispatch of components, tools, and materials to the production and installation teams as per project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records for all items dispatched and received, ensuring transparency and traceability.
- Record-Keeping and Documentation
- Maintain precise documentation for all inventory movements and ensure proper data entry in the warehouse management system.
- Generate and update inventory reports, reorder lists, and stock-level reports to avoid shortages and support project continuity.
- Safeguard records on all stored components, tools, and materials, adhering to compliance and company protocols.
- Warehouse Organization and Maintenance
- Organize the warehouse layout to optimize storage space and facilitate efficient access to materials for production and installation teams.
- Inspect storage areas regularly to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Store delicate electronic components (chips, beacons, sim cards) and tools securely to prevent damage or loss.
- Quality Assurance
- Inspect components and tools for damage or defects upon receipt and during inventory checks, coordinating with Quality Inspectors for prompt resolution of quality issues.
- Protect high-value items against loss, damage, or theft by following established security and handling protocols.
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the warehouse, including the handling and storage of
- hazardous materials when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment compliant with safety regulations and company standards.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Inventory Accuracy
- Achieve at least 98% accuracy in inventory records for all production and installation components, including frames, tools, and materials.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of physical and recorded inventory levels to ensure consistent accuracy.
- Order Fulfilment Time
Meet a 95% on-time dispatch rate for all components, tools, and materials needed for the production and installation teams based on project schedules.
- Receiving Efficiency
Complete the receipt and verification of incoming shipments within 24 hours of delivery, ensuring immediate updates in the system.
- Warehouse Organization and Cleanliness
Maintain an organized warehouse layout with zero safety violations and consistent cleanliness in monthly safety audits.
- Stock Level Maintenance
Maintain minimum stock levels for critical components like number plate frames, trackers, beacons, sim cards, and installation tools, supporting uninterrupted operations.
- Documentation Accuracy
Achieve 100% accuracy in documentation and filing for all inventory movements, receipts, and dispatches, ensuring error-free records during monthly audits.
- Damage and Loss Prevention
Limit inventory damage or loss to less than 0.5% of total inventory value per quarter by enforcing secure storage practices.
- Cycle Count Completion
Conduct monthly cycle counts for critical components, tools, and materials with an error margin below 2%.
- Response Time to Quality Issues
Report quality issues in components or tools to Quality Inspectors within 2 hours of discovery to maintain production standards.
- Health and Safety Compliance
Maintain zero incidents by adhering to all health and safety protocols and ensuring team compliance with safety standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or inventory management, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems, inventory control software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience handling electronic components and tools, particularly tracking devices, beacons, sim cards, and other sensitive materials, is an advantage.
