Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan

On behalf of our client SINOPEC, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Instrument Installer-CPF to work at site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply skills and knowledge in instrumentation, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and standards for installation and maintenance.
  • Interpret instrumentation drawings to identify tag numbers, terminal blocks, and wire numbers, supporting accurate installation and documentation.
  • Pull, dress, and secure cables. install cable trays, conduits, supports and mount field instruments such as transmitters, control valves, switches, and analyzers.
  • Terminate instruments, junction boxes, marshalling panels, and PLC/DCS I/O cards by crimping ferrules, lugs, and terminals as per wiring schedules, and label all wires and cables according to tag numbers and loop diagrams.
  • Perform calibration, loop checks, and functional testing to verify instrument accuracy and system integrity.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation faults and resolve issues in wiring, devices or control systems.
  • Support pre-commissioning activities such as signal continuity checks, grounding verification and insulation resistance tests.
  • Maintain discipline, resilience and adherence to leadership instructions including Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience required:

  • Diploma/Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation installation, calibration, and maintenance in Uganda.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (SIL / ATEX / IECEx) and site-specific safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
