DFCU Bank is hiring a Manager – Kyc responsible for overseeing and managing the full Know Your (KYC) function across the Bank, ensuring end‑to‑end compliance with regulatory and internal AML/CFT/KYC requirements. The role provides operational leadership for customer due‑diligence activities, drives quality and accuracy of customer information, mitigates financial crime risks, embeds strong governance controls, and supports all operational units to deliver compliant, efficient, and customer‑centric KYC processes

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain KYC operational frameworks, policies, SOPs, and workflows aligned to regulatory and bank‑wide risk standards.
  • Enforce strong adherence to AML/CFT/KYC regulatory requirements issued by BoU, FIA, and internal policies.
  • Lead remediation programs for high‑risk portfolios, audit findings, compliance exceptions, and regulatory directives.
  • Ensure quality control mechanisms are in place and routinely executed.
  • Act as the central coordination point for KYC across Branch Operations, Compliance, CIB, Commercial, Retail, Digital Channels, and Risk teams.
  • Provide expert KYC guidance, interpretation, and issue‑resolution support to internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise and develop KYC supervisors and officers, ensuring capability building, staff motivation, and performance management.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the entire KYC function, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution of all KYC activities across the Bank.
  • Build a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the KYC function.
  • Oversee ongoing reviews of KYC files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory alignment.
  • Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and emerging risks, recommending improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Champion system enhancements to improve customer information integrity, workflow efficiency, and reporting.
  • Provide regular reports on KYC performance, workloads, remediation status, and compliance metrics to senior management.
  • Oversee portfolio‑wide clean‑up, data migration support, and periodic refresh exercises.
  • Ensure all KYC processes meet agreed turnaround times and service expectations.
  • Drive resolution of escalated issues affecting customer onboarding, servicing, or compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Training in various areas of Operations: – i.e. Fraud Prevention, KYC, CFT & AML, Operation Risk control & Compliance.
  • At least 6 years working experience in Banking Operations.
  • Training in various areas of Operations: – i.e., Fraud Prevention, KYC, CFT & AML, Operation Risk control & Compliance.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, quality and deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of Bank procedures, policies and regulatory AML/KYC requirements.
  • Strong analytical abilities to resolve complex external customer complains/ queries.
  • Ability to complete work assignments independently, set objectives to reach desired results, and assist in creating new policies and procedures to ensure continued department compliance is required.
  • Ability to supervise, train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments and interact with all levels of staff.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise manner appropriate for the audience in order to explain, persuade, convince and influence others to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • The ability to identify and engage with all the key stake holders in the organization.
