JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
The Ministry Program Manager shall be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of all Ministry programs and related activities as determined by the Head of Programs. The ministry program manager provides technical support to all Operational Focus Areas, and is intentional in to ensure ministry is well integrated in all EAM activities, with meaningful influence on its various stakeholders. Ministry entitles mobilizing and equipping local churches, forming strategic partnerships, and fostering unity and diversity tolerance amongst staff, church partners, and other relevant stakeholders. In this role, the Ministry Program Manager observes the highest level of professionalism and integrity in all undertakings, of self and of the team, while always observing biblical principles and values of the Organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
2.1 Strategic Ministry Development and Management
• Provide leadership and technical support to ministry staff at each field location aligned with 4africa’s vision, mission, and core values.
• Provide discipleship/spiritual mentorship and coaching to staff through regular retreats, devotions, and other appropriate strategies.
• Conduct periodic performance target setting, reviews, and appraisals.
• Identify/conduct staff training needs assessment and recommend capacity building/training.
• Participate in recruitment, selection, and onboarding of ministry staff.
• Identify ministry human resource needs and make recommendations.

2.2 Quality Ministry Program Implementation and Delivery
• Develop a quality and integrated ministry strategy, contextually appropriate approaches, and techniques in alignment with EAM’s core pillars.
• Lead and provide leadership oversight on quality ministry program planning, design, strategy development, theory of change development, reviews, appropriate ministry curriculum, and implementation.
• Ensure that ministry remains an integral component of 4africa’s operations.
• Oversee the training and continued mentorship of church leaders in discipleship.
• Identify, select, and form a strategic partnership with local churches and other relevant stakeholders and foster unity and diversity amongst staff and church partners.
• Participate in the identification, design, and roll out of Operational Focus Areas (OFAs).
• Provide ongoing supervision and technical support/guidance to all Ministry staff to ensure adherence to best practice principles.

2.3 Support to the Financial Function
• Develop and manage the performance of annual ministry plans and budget.
• Review and approve ministry payment requests in alignment with the ministry plans and budget.
• Ensure adherence and compliance to 4africa’s internal controls, financial policies, system, and procedure.
• Ensure timely financial reporting.

Monitoring and Evaluation
• Develop ministry log frame, M&E plan, theory of change, and implementation matrix.
• Carry out periodic documentation and reporting of program progress and impacts through activity reports, stories, videos, photos, and any other media content.
• Participate in baseline, midterm, and Endline evaluation studies.
• Conduct periodic field monitoring visits.
• Participate in the development and review of EAM’s Strategic Plan.

Stakeholder Engagement
• Conduct regular planning and feedback meetings with relevant stakeholders to discuss progress, gaps, and the way forward.
• Build partnerships with like-minded stakeholders to promote knowledge sharing on lessons learned and best practices.

Represent EAM in local and international Ministry forums.
• Coordinate and participate in any donor trips.
• Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
• Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
• Participate in the development of funding concept notes and proposals.
• Support to the Human Resource Function
• Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of WASH/Health staff.
• Identify/recognize, motivate, and retain talent within the WASH/Health department.

Qualifications and Experience
• At least five years of experience in ministry work. Preferably with a Christian Faith-Based Organization.
• Minimum University degree in any of the following: social sciences, Project Planning and Management, development studies, International Affairs, and any other relevant course.
• Any other diploma in Theology/Divinity.
• Should 35-45 years old.
