Mkazipreneur is looking for an experienced Program technical specialist – Acceleration, responsible for managing the acceleration component of the program, supporting entrepreneurs to refine their business models and prepare for Demo Day and investment
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive awareness of the project in different communities and build pipeline for the initiative.
• Support the learning efforts of entrepreneurs in the foundational course by approving assignments, addressing queries and offering guidance & feedback where necessary.
• Document and maintain records of support offered to entrepreneurs. This includes but is not limited to one-on-one sessions, information sessions etc. (Attendance sheet, meeting notes and action trackers)
• Design and implement business acceleration deliverables like the business clinics, Demo days and portfolio deliverables.
• Provide technical support on business strategy, operations and scalability.
• Support due diligence, needs assessment processes for businesses for acceleration stage, Reviews applications into the accelerator
• Participate in program activities like meetings, business clinics, Demo Day and facilitate sessions where required.
• Lead pitch readiness training and coordinate demo day activities.
• Liaise with investors and funding partners.
• Facilitate educational workshops, meetings and conferences associated with the project.
• Facilitate market and capital linkage strategies for target beneficiaries.
• Document success stories and lessons learned
• Interact with members of the community to help achieve project goals and objectives.
• Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the program and develop new methods aimed at greater success.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
• Degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance, or Innovation.
• 5+ years supporting startups or running accelerators/incubators.
• Familiarity with investment processes and investor engagement.
